HEERF II Funds
Congratulations!
It has been determined that you are eligible to receive HEERF II funding that was provided
to WSU Tech under the Higher Education Emergency Relief fund established in the Coronavirus
Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2021 (CRRSAA). WSU Tech will begin
distribution of funds to eligible students the weeks of April 12 and 19. Funds will be
distributed using the direct deposit account you have provided WSU Tech or by paper check.
In order to help bridge the gap that individuals may be experiencing due to the pandemic,
please find below 7 Smart Ways to Spend Your HEERF II Award!!
- Pay your bills – Pay down your school balance, credit card balance, or get current on overdue bills.
- Start an emergency fund – These funds are a great way to build an emergency account from scratch.
- Purchase school supplies – Invest in school supplies such as laptops, home printers, or books for your courses.
- Tune-up your vehicle – Get a routine maintenance check on your car. Purchase new tires for your vehicle.

Stock your pantry – Take your extra cash to the discount grocery store and stock up on non-perishable
items. If you have a freezer, consider purchasing meat in bulk.

Save for retirement – You are never too young to start saving for retirement.
